Review on ☕️ Hamilton Beach 49976 FlexBrew Trio 2-Way Coffee Maker, Single Serve and Full 12c Pot, Compatible with K-Cup Pods or Grounds, Combo, Black by Tina Moore

Brilliant coffee pot idea! The design could be improved a bit.

I drink regular coffee, but my wife drinks decaffeinated coffee. So it seemed like the perfect replacement for the two coffee pots we had on our kitchen counter for the past year. :) My son has an older Hamilton Beach Flexbrew and loves it so we decided to give it a try. I bought the model 49976 which is the latest model so far. So far, so good! We love the flexibility to brew a single cup/mug or a whole pot. And the ability to use K-Cups if desired is a nice bonus! I would give it 5 stars if there weren't two small criticisms. 1) It would be nice if the decanter warmer plate stayed on when using the single brew side. But once you switch to single brew, it shuts off the carafe side completely, even if you've just brewed a full cup of coffee! Hamilton Beach could greatly improve the design by adding a button to turn the decanter's heating plate on and off, with an automatic shut-off after a certain time. And 2), the single-serve brew basket seems to leak a lot of "leftover" ground coffee into my cup. I can't stand coffee crumbs on the bottom of a cup. I freshly grind my coffee so I'm going to play around with the coarseness of the grind to see if I can fix this issue. the brew button to turn the warming plate back on. If there is no water in the pot, he simply turns the plate back on and doesn't try to brew anything. Well!
