Review on ☕ Versatile Camping Coffee Percolator - Perfect for Cabin, RV, and Outdoor Adventures - Unleash the Rich, Full Flavor of Campsite Coffee by Matthew Perez

piss off! for Camp Kitchen

I've tried the smartest coffee brewing methods, even Melitta. I have an aero press, which I also really like. But I drink a lot of coffee (it doesn't keep me up at night), so I find the coffee maker makes enough coffee for the whole day, and it makes coffee a lot tastier (to me) than a coffee maker. I had to buy a new coffee maker because I forgot to turn off my old one and completely destroyed it. Another good thing (usually) about a percolator over an electric dripper is that you can train your memory with the percolator or you'll ruin your potty. I've only been distracted once, but I've had it for years - and a good memory (usually). This one seems to have bigger holes in the basket than my old one and I've had to learn to grind the beans a little less than before or I'm covered in coffee grounds. Other than that I have nothing to complain about and that was easily fixed. I like the silicone handle as it is easier and safer to lift. So I add it after six months of use. This percolator is significantly inferior to my previous one. Where I didn't need filters, I use one under and one over the coffee grounds on this one. And yet I have to use the strainer to pour the coffee. Yesterday, six months later, a piece of glass broke off. And no, I didn't throw the pot against the wall or drop it on the floor. I was just making coffee and a piece of glass just chipped off, apparently from the heat after making coffee. I could buy a new glass lid, but given the disappointment with this jug, I think I'll just hint to my kids that I want a different (specified) coffee maker as a Winter Solstice gift. . It's pretty awful that a pot that was supposed to last a lifetime (unless you forget it on the stove like I did with my previous one) lasted six short months.

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for support and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
