For context: I am 5ft 7-8 inches tall, weigh 156lbs and have a very athletic build (I have butt, hips and a small waist) . chose the female medium and it was too big. It hung down my hips and hit me at an odd length. I was looking for something every day. Not sexy, but not a school uniform either. I ended up returning the average size and getting girls in sizes 12-14. MEASURE BY YOUR WAIST. I was worried the smaller size would be too short but everything fits well. Even shorts that have no stretch. I would definitely like the belt to be tighter, but I'll wear this skirt anyway.
