I call them paperback protectors. I keep a journal and take notes all the time as I read, so having a convenient place to keep pens and markers wherever I am was a crucial factor. They are high quality, inexpensive, versatile and easily adjustable. Definitely recommend! For reference, they keep one of my retractable S-Gel sharpies, a regular Ticonderoga pencil, and three fine sharpie markers so I can carry around a good selection.
