You can't do without it

I just lost mine and ordered a new one because I've found that no other wired headset works as well for me. The extra elastic that holds the earbud in your ear helps keep it secure in your ear if you adjust it properly (by pointing it slightly towards the back of your head). The sound quality is just fantastic - no wheezing and the person on the other end of the line can hear me clearly.
