It's comfortable and warm. But it's a woven fabric, and the warp isn't knotted or trimmed at all, so it's easy to unravel if it gets caught on something. Ponchos are meant to be durable outdoor wear, but it's more of something to keep you warm in front of the TV (no cats). You can improve it a bit by connecting multiple ends of the chain together, but that's a very time-consuming process.
