I found these socks to be comfortable if a bit small but as these are compression stockings a snug fit is to be expected. I wore them on a hard day of gardening where I had to deal with uneven ground, lots of roots and hard subsoil and I didn't have the pain that usually comes from such work. However, these socks are not padded, so consider layering an extra pair of regular yard socks over them.
