This is my favorite brush for removing hair loss and tangles on my cats. I've had many different types, from wire hooks to intricate claw rakes and other metal comb-shaped demolders. What I love about it is that it removes a lot of dead hair and leaves cats with soft, smooth fur. Cats seem to enjoy being brushed for the most part and the only problem is when they turn around and try to hug/attack the comb. Since this type of brush can only be used in one direction, this rake style is much easier to use than my other comb style. Also, the middle brush is much wider than my other combs, which is perfect for my large cats. It gets hooked and twitches a bit to remove the mats, but I find this to be the quickest way to get rid of them and have them come back.
