My daughter is 2.5 years old in a cot. No twin, not high off the ground. I wasn't sure if they would actually work in a small bed but they are great. She falls out of bed every night even though there is a half splint. The first night we used it, it looked like she really wanted to fall asleep, almost like she was trying to climb on it, but it was soft and comfortable and she fell asleep on it! Fits naturally under the mattress sheets of a cot mattress. I even find them easier to sit on when comforting them because they are memory foam and feel good at my 38 weeks pregnancy. Her father was surprised at how much he likes them and jokingly asked if he could buy one because they look so comfortable when she sleeps between them. There was a bit of a synthetic smell when I first opened them, but I aired them out while washing the covers (which are amazing and well made) and by the time I had finished washing them the smell was almost gone. One of the best purchases I've made recently for practical reasons. My baby doesn't fall out of bed anymore and loves them!
