PROS: Definitely does what it's supposed to. My cat doesn't like the feel of it on her paws and has stopped scratching all the places I've applied it. Also, you get a lot for the price, which is great. And it's really clear when you flatten it so it's not a big eyesore. CONS: Seems like it will definitely damage thinner materials if you leave it on for long because it's SUPER sticky. Stickier than regular tape. I've had it for a few weeks now and when I peel it off my plush leather chair it already leaves a bit of a sticky residue. I did two things to try and reduce damage to my furniture: 1. I applied each piece to the fabric a few times before gluing to reduce the stickiness. 2. when I had to cover a large piece of furniture. I actually left the backing in the middle of the tape so it only sticks to my furniture along the edges. Everything seems to be working fine so far. I would recommend taking a little picture every few weeks and seeing how it affects your materials. I could see that ruining velvet, micro-suede (and real suede, of course) and I'm definitely not going to put it on a meatblock countertop to keep the kitty from jumping up and down.
