I love this Camelbak. I had a very similar one but it had worn out after years of regular use and the hose became sticky with age. Its bladder design is different, but not necessarily better. That's good, except the water tastes really bad. I don't remember having the same problem with the predecessor. I have washed it and used it several times but the problem persists. I'll try storing it with water to get rid of the taste. Update: I'm disappointed in the design of the large lid used to add water to the bladder. The previous design was much better. This design seals well when you put the lid on properly. The problem is that without cross flow it's hard to launch. Several careful attempts are usually required. If you think you've unscrewed the cap and tightened it properly, we wish you the best of luck taking it off again. Unscrewing the cap after it has been cross-threaded is difficult, time consuming and frustrating. I am no longer satisfied with this product. Second update: I came across a trick to prevent the lid from twisting. When the bladder is full, put the cap back on, then twist the cap counterclockwise until it clicks, and then twist clockwise to close it. It works much better that way.
