I used to have two Power-A chargers with two previous PS4s so I wanted to try something new this time. This charger works as it should and the controllers are safe when charging. Because it doesn't grab controllers like some other docks, you don't run the risk of scratching them. The Imo Light Pad is really neat and as I can see this is a major benefit of this model, but I didn't like how the loading lights matched. to the coasters (the top bulb is the first coaster, the bottom is the second) but this was an easy fix in 5 minutes with my basic soldering skills. The USB charging cable is quite short as the idea was to allow the user to use the PS4's USB port. So plan to buy a longer one or use an extension cord if you're using an outlet. Also make sure to hold the device while removing the controller, as said they are indeed secured. There are actually two pieces of metal screwed in to make it heavier, but the rubber feet hold it in place well and I could add more weight in case it gets bumped. situational so I didn't deduct a single star from them.
