My mother's eyesight is failing, so she often makes mistakes when typing. So I figured a backlit or low vision keyboard might help. I looked at the Perixx PERIBOARD-317, the SurnQiee Large Font Keyboard, and several others with backlit keys. The problem was that they all had a lot of conflicting reviews saying things like "this is amazing" and "this is just awful". "Don't buy it". All the reviews on this keyboard were very, very good. It was cheap and I could tell from the pictures exactly what it would be like to use it. First, the keys are large, square, and have more travel than one typical laptop keyboard, but not as much as a traditional desktop keyboard - they're also insanely easy to register a keystroke The fact that the keys are flat with little to no space between them, easy to press and huge , makes this keyboard ideal for older (or younger) people with vision problems. It also makes typing insanely fast. Backlit keyboards are great, but if you're not good at typing they're useless. In short, this keyboard is amazing and I can understand why so many people are raving about it..This is probably the best windows keyboard I've used in the last ten years or so.
