Very happy with this radio so far. This is my 4th Sangean and I bought a good one. This is a beautiful radio to look at. First class fit and finish. The grille is made of painted metal and the handles are covered with rubber. Bass and treble controls sink into the housing with a single push. I would classify this as a bedroom, bookshelf, or office radio. If you want to fill a very large space, you may be disappointed. Don't get me wrong, it has a great tone and lots of volume. However, the more you drive, the boomier it gets. I have a 10 year old Tivoli Model One and I can't use it anymore because the tuning potentiometer doesn't want to tighten anymore. I suspect the Tivoli was made by Sangean; very similar in many ways. So I hope this Sanghian doesn't suffer the same fate. For most, I don't know what could go wrong with it. If you like the look, you will also love the sound. Remember: the drivers are in the 2-inch range and the subwoofer is in the 3-inch range. If you're looking for heavy, powerful bass look elsewhere as they can't reproduce it without a little distortion at "Rock the Casbah" volume. I'm almost 50 and very old fashioned when it comes to everything. Audio is no exception. It has something to do with setting up a watch face and bringing back a glowing backlight.
