Anti Lever Push Button, Interference and General Functions

At first the lever design appealed to me because it's better known and, by the way, cheaper. However, the reviews are more negative (the need to hold the lever for 2 seconds, unstable results with a small flush, etc.). Button design is traditional around the world. I'm glad I bought this version. It's very easy to use and consistent. The round button also updates the look of my toilet. The tube at the bottom of the tank (see red arrow) sends out nozzles to clean the bottom. This tube does not come with a lever version. My tank lever is bent, resulting in insufficient clearance for the button cartridge. The cartridge interferes with the float. I had to rotate it to a tilted position to avoid interference (see red arrow). Be careful and be prepared to make adjustments if your tank isn't square. Do yourself a favor and check out Phil's review video on YouTube. It lays out the procedure much more clearly than the instructions. Also, don't waste time and buy a new hose that goes from the wall to the tank. The o-ring on mine had hardened causing it to leak and the setup stopped midway. It is important to understand how the green valve above works to reduce water loss when filling the bowl (see arrow). Conventional toilets allow more than one gallon to be drained through the fill tube. Think of the green bar as a flow indicator arrow. If he points to the filling pipe, the maximum amount of water flows out. If it points up, the water is shut off. The bowl water only flows while the main tank is being filled. So if this adjustment is made with a large flush, the level will be too low for a small flush. Adjust with a little flushing so that when the main tank is full, the bowl is properly filled. Adjustment is quick and easy once you understand the principle. When you install the blue silicone dome gasket to seal the tank, remember how the old muffler works. The damper is sealed solely by its own weight, so firm pressure on the silicone seal will deform it and cause leakage. The black rubber ring keeps everything in the right position, so don't use force. As mentioned in other reviews, the zip tie is weak and will break causing leaks. I have a box of Costco zip ties and chose the strongest that would fit through the slots. To be on the safe side, I added one more. Play around with the little blue float settings to get familiar before installing. Clicks are numbered by steps, 2 clicks per step. I started with 3 steps from the bottom (the bottom is the maximum water). Adjust up if you want to reduce a small amount of flushing. I didn't do much with the large flush setting on the green slider, I just pulled it up a bit from max bottom. Installation and adjustment shouldn't take more than 1/2 hour, but add 1 hour for screwing, more if you need to buy stuff. Like the result.
