Custom size for home audio

Pay attention to the size when using mounting brackets. I used 11 speakers in a new building. I had pre-Sheetrock mounting brackets installed and this speaker is way too big. My Yamaha and Polk speakers fit well. I needed more speakers that don't come in pairs so decided to give this one a try. Judging by the photo, it does not fit. I tried to squeeze in and the mounting screws broke leaving me with a busted speaker. The whole point of using mounting brackets was not to cut a hole in the drywall yourself. If you want to use the template provided in an existing theme, that might be fine. However, this will not work in a standard size mounting ring. I would also like to note that the quality is inferior to Yamaha and Polk speakers, which shouldn't be a surprise at this price point. Also, 16-gauge wire barely fits in the terminals, and I'd suggest 18-gauge or larger if you want to pre-route the wires.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long wait time
