Oh my god how lucky I am! Originally just bought an 8" to see how it sounds. After digging in, it was suspect; the high frequencies were muted and didn't quite live up to the hype. So glad I did. I hooked up 12 gauge wire to a small 100 watt amp and amazon bluetooth receiver and my backyard became my official happy place environment you seek for around the pool at 100% amp -Volume and 50% iPhone volume it's near perfect Louder is fine too but I don't want my neighbors to hate me amp - Music sounds way better on iTunes than it does on a streaming radio station like Pandora Probably because I am not using speakers of sufficient power, they are rated for 200 watts and I am only delivering 50 watts to the speaker.
