Review on LG 34WL600-B 34" UltraWideTM Monitor - 2560X1080P, 75Hz, Adjustable Stand by Shawn Moran

I just bought a 34WL600-B, very nice monitor, but I can't get the display port to work. Tried different cables, DP to HDMI adapters etc but nothing...no signal. HDMI works perfectly. I want to connect my regular home PC to the DP port and when I'm working from home, connect my work laptop to the HDMI port so I can switch back and forth as needed. I received a defective monitor? I hope not. I've contacted LG support but I'm still waiting. If I don't get an answer in the next few days, I will most likely come back and get something else. It will be a shame.
