I wanted to love them - well, as much as one can love tweezers. The price is right, the variety of 4 tweezer tips fits almost every imaginable situation, they are solid metal, well made and good looking. Unfortunately, they lack performance. The contact surfaces of all four tweezers are quite rough, they tend to cut or cut the hair and cause them to break rather than pull out the hair. My photo from the phone doesn't capture them fully - the tweezer pads are quite rough and micro-nicks snag when you run your fingernail over them. On larger objects (like cactus spines etc) a rough surface can allow for a little more grip and bite, but when trying to deal with finer facial hair you quickly become frustrated when 2/3 of the hair you are trying to pull out is breaking due to this tweezers. I don't think this is a coincidence as all four tweezers have the same rough surface. Sure, they've polished the exterior to keep them looking good, but that doesn't make up for the performance loss from neglecting the interior. You look good. But I can't go higher than 2 out of 5 because of insufficient performance.
