Works well when it works - major design flaw

I've used this thing on and off since I bought it in January 2016. Maybe 10-20 times. The set and forget feature is handy for small stains and works well. However, a design flaw makes using a hose nozzle frustrating and nearly impossible. The hose function worked properly ONCE. Since then, attempts to use the hose attachment have resulted in the hose not working and soapy water leaking from the bottom of the unit, soaking the floor and creating a puddle. Basically just another mess to clean up. I researched this problem online and found so many people trying to figure out how to fix it. The bug is a tiny valve that opens and closes when the hose barb is removed/replaced in the device. To use the hose, pull its tip out of the device and press the "Hose" button. When you pull the hose barb out of the unit, the valve should divert the flow of soapy water into the hose and away from the bottom of the unit, which is the default setting. If the valve is sticking you can try using a hose but the soapy water will only come out because it's dripping from the bottom! I took the thing apart VERY CAREFULLY, cleaned the valve and started working again. It worked ONCE AGAIN before clogging again. The valve is tiny, clogs and sticks easily. It doesn't move easily in his body. It moves very little. I was honestly shocked when I saw it and how poorly designed it was. Guaranteed to fail. At least mine was. Perhaps the design flaw has been corrected. Idk Therefore I cannot recommend this device. I just threw it in the trash can.
