I watched a video of a dog groomer using this cleanser and she left it on the pup's face while she washed the rest of his body and then went back to him . I have a Schnoodle that used to have a white muzzle but it's gone now and I really thought it would fit. Aside from the fact that you need two hands to squeeze this bottle because the plastic is so hard, it didn't really matter. I wash my little guy about twice a month and groom him every 6-8 weeks. If there's no miracle other than bleach (ha, no!), I don't think I'll ever see his face white again. As for the shampoo, I'm sorry to say that I think I can use another shampoo at a lower price and it will do the job of washing it out and softening it.
