Use on damp skin (in the shower or after a bath) OR on dry, clean skin! It REALLY works and gets rid of calluses! BE CAREFUL. The thing is sharp and I overdid it a bit the first time I used it and bled. I had to wait for my scab to heal before trying again. But gosh, did it work well when I was softer with it! I find it works best on dry skin. I wait for my skin to dry after a shower, then file with the rougher side, smooth with the finer side, then rinse and apply lotion. I use it regularly, once or twice a week. I'm slowly erasing what were once very thick, rough calluses. The problem areas are now smooth and soft, but the skin is still a bit thicker and rougher than elsewhere on my legs. I am very happy with the results!
