It doesn't get hot enough to actually iron cotton or linen. Thanks to the tank release button at the top of the handle, it is very easy to release the tank without realizing it and the iron will stop heating. Heating is very unstable. And when someone says this is a great iron, they've never met a real iron. I admit that the spray works well.
