Noise reduction works well. The volume control is missing. The pen works in stages, from 0 to 9, rather than continuously from zero to rudeness. I find 1 too loud and zero too mute. So kind of useless. But it has a screen where you can see which station it's on and it's inexpensive compared to others. There is no battery indicator. The screen disappears when the battery is low, but otherwise it just dims without showing a battery warning. The radio stopped working after 8 months but I got the ear tips out and put them in my old pair to continue using as donor parts.
