Review on 🌈 Vibrant and Engaging: Melissa & Doug Jumbo 50-Page Coloring Wonder by Chris Castro

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Forget the dollar store coloring books!

When I was younger, in the late 80's and early 90's, coloring books were $5. now that I have little ones, coloring books in dollar stores sell for at least 50 cents each. In the end, it's a good deal because not many kids appreciate coloring books when there are ALWAYS video games. Because they don't appreciate them, they are treated pretty harshly. At least in our house. When I saw the price of this coloring book I almost laughed and dared to believe. I wanted to see how it compared to a $5 to $10 color of what I found in stores. On arrival I saw that it was worth it! The cover was nice and thick and there was no immediate risk of it peeling off after a few hours of use. What really did it for me was the thickness of each sheet. There is no double printing and you can use different media to "colorize" beautiful images. We managed to paint one of the pictures in watercolor! The next page wasn't raw. Why can't all coloring books use this quality? The pictures are lovely and for this particular 'pink' pad these are all pictures that girly girls will appreciate. For a serious colorist, the pages are more than adequate. Would highly recommend to any family! The difference between these products and other $5 stores is the QUALITY. I will still buy coloring books from the Dollar Store but I will always have one of these notebooks because they are worth it. Sometimes you have to be in the slums to really appreciate the finer things in life. rzunimag. As always, Melissa & Doug products have exceeded my expectations for the past 8.5 years and three children later. They will continue to amaze me with their quality.
