I like my bag (it's basically a big open bag). While it has pockets on the outside, on the inside it has a zipped pocket on one side and 2 holsters on the other. So all my stuff gets thrown in the middle. And I wear a lot of stuff! This little holder is not that small and will hold a lot without weighing my bag down. I also like that it has 2 zipped compartments so I can put my personal items inside without anyone seeing them every time I open the bag. I'm not sure HOW BIG other people's bags are, I've read other reviews that say they slip. My bag is 16 inches long and this item fits comfortably. I've attached before and after photos. Seriously, for the extra $10, I now enjoy using my $250+ bag!
