Never worked properly - more expensive touch solved my problem.
I've been fiddling with this touch for a month - it still shows intermittent highs. Just too sensitive to coil noise. I tried resistors in the signal line - experimented - calmed down but didn't cure. Tried 2 different speedometer signal filters - no improvement. I ended up finding a Schmidt trigger that converted the coil signal to a square wave - read correctly in most cases, but then just jumped back up :( I ended up buying a much more expensive Touch - it worked right out of the box.
