I bought these covers to bring home a new pup and want to keep the leather/suede seats in my 19 Explorer from the drool and pee of my 100 lb Mastiff to protect brothers. These cases are not waterproof. I put a puppy pad underneath to avoid damaging the car seats and in fact on a recent car trip the Great Dane peed and the water went right through the seat cover. However, they are easy to install and look good. I just washed them and will continue to use them to protect my seats. They hold up well in the wash and I hang them up to dry. But I will get reusable puppy pads to put under the seat cover as they are NOT waterproof. May 2020 update, I bought another set of these as I have 2 back rows. I still don't expect these cases to be waterproof but other than that they do exactly what I need them to.
