I received these over a year ago to calm a very aggressive cat and a frightened cat that she was poking around at. It did not work. Fortunately, we have finally achieved relaxation in another way. However, my older cat also wanted treats when the other two got them. Maggie was 18 at the time and Maggie gets what Maggie wants. Doesn't matter! Maggie had all the signs of feline dementia. Cries at night, gets lost, etc. She got to the place where she had been hiding in a box in the dining room all along. She only went out to use the potty or to eat. She did that for months. Shortly after she started eating treats, she became more active and quick-witted. Now she visits other parts of the house without getting lost. She comes to me to pet her. She hasn't been in the box for months. She spends most of her time on the window sill, napping in the sun or watching the world go by. When she's awake, she's alert. I watched my kitten escape and now she's back with me. I know it's not advertised for dementia but you might want to give it a try if you have an older kitten. Maggie is now 19 years old and feels better than she was for at least a year before I started giving her serenity. I think it's a miracle cure.
