The product did not fit our situation. We have a litter box under the bathroom sink that has two cupboard doors. We removed one cupboard door and placed the tray behind the opposite cupboard door. Basically, the litter box is hidden behind a door, and the cat comes out through a hole where another door should be. I have found that this rug gets just as much dirt on the floor. In our situation, I regularly sweep the space next to the tray to keep it looking clean. I couldn't sweep with it, so it always looked like a mess. I ended up throwing it away so I can always keep the area clean. I have a mini broom and a dustpan that I hung in the closet. Every time I remove the bedding I sweep the area. Still the best system for us.
