Received and installed today. Having years of plumbing experience, I have to say that I am more than a little disappointed with the quality of the 1/2 inch plastic tubing. As others have said, it's very odd that they don't include a water hose adapter considering that would be the most common setup. I knew in advance that this would be a problem, so I ordered the appropriate adapter. It works, but be very careful. You'll need many turns of Teflon tape, and that's more than usual. To tighten the water hose adapter, you must grasp the square plastic portion of the float mechanism inside the compartment to keep it from rotating and damaging the float. You want it to be tight but easy to overtighten and mess up the threads. However, I basically did this to stop the leak. The float may also need to be adjusted. There is a plastic thumbscrew to adjust the float and eventually the water level. The stainless steel looks high quality. I will update this over time.
