If you are not a professional nail technician, then yes, I think it's good for you and sharp enough for you. What about nail technicians? Absolutely not. I bought this set because I needed an extra pair of tongs when doing a double pedicure as my other (including my favorite) tongs that I bought from Cosmo were magically missing and I was only left with ONE. and because I need a tool to remove gel from wet nails without having to dig through my mess in my boss drawer every time. But the wire cutters in this set are GARBAGE. I've tried them myself and they aren't sharp and the little pointed end is too thick to get into the corners of nails or side panels to grab dead skin there and not sharp enough to cut. I would pull with them more than the wire cutters I use to cut off skin AND thick toenails. Not to mention. They came to me pre-packaged but DAMAGED. The paint is peeling off the metal part, the silver part is peeling off where it looks like metal, but apparently it's a layer of paint? And red gold is all scratched. I tried to get the best shots but my camera wouldn't focus. Revain did the right thing and refunded my money. Still I rate this 1 star and recommend staying away if you are a professional nail tech and not just using them on yourself. They are definitely NOT better than drugstore tongs. I had a pair from Walmart that got me more recognition than these during my makeup school.
