I ordered this jacket in preparation for a recent beach vacation. We were spending a few days at the beach and planning to see something, so I needed something that would protect me from both the sun and the wind. In the first few days of our arrival, the wind speed was much higher than normal. Of course, we had two kids who had been looking forward to a beach vacation for a week, so we took off. Having this jacket was very helpful as it protected me from both the sun and the wind that was spewing sand on my skin. I used it all week and was glad I had it when we went deep sea fishing. It's lightweight, almost doesn't feel like you're wearing anything, making it comfortable in hot weather. But somehow it still gives you an extra layer of sun and wind protection. I like this color because the kids could easily find me in the crowd and for that reason it's great for relaxing. The design is also thought out, it has several holes and even a slot at the bottom of the hood for the tail. It also has zipped pockets which are handy for sports and travel as you can keep your belongings with you safely. Haven't used it for running yet but plan to and those little touches make it perfect for that. I followed the sizing chart and ordered the large and it gave me the relaxed fit I was expecting. My little girl liked it so much she asked me to find one for her but unfortunately they don't do kid sizes. I washed it twice while on holiday and it dried on a hanger all night.
