I bought it specifically for the color and it's not really red. According to "Swatches" the color is actually "Punch" which is mostly red but still clashes with the theme I wanted to use. I bought a red video, network and audio cable and they all turned out to be pure red but not this one. Plus it's a perfectly serviceable power cord - functionally you can't go wrong - it fits snugly, fits snugly, and conducts electricity without catching fire. I just can't think of a reason to buy this item other than its color (there are many cheaper alternatives in traditional black) and it's definitely not the color it advertises.
