Review on πŸ‘“ Foster Grant James Multifocus Reading Glasses: Black/Transparent, 53mm +2 - Vision Aid for multiple distances by Travis Knight

(Almost) good idea, not the best execution

Great idea. Execution is so-so. 1. Lenses are slightly magnified at the top and gradually increase to full magnification at the bottom. But if the idea behind these glasses is that you don't have to look over them when looking up, then why on earth would the top/back of the lens get any bigger at all? I still want to look over the top, in which case what's the point? (2 and 3 for this particular model - James) 2. They are quite heavy and (for me) press on my temples. So I would never want to wear them for long - I think that's their point. 3. Because of the slight rise at the top, I keep tying them up to put them on my head, but for the same reason they pinch my temples, they pinch my head so they don't sit on top at all.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not automatic
