Well made but not as noticeable with small clip

Not sure how useful a positive review is having only had the product for a few days. However, I wanted to add something here before I forgot. The flashlight looks pretty well built, it's very light and well designed with maybe two exceptions. First, it's not as bright as I thought it would be and only works as a reading light if you can get the light head close enough to your book. Second, the clamp is advertised as huge or extra large. That's absolutely not true. The tabletop I was planning to use it with is 3/4" thick. It's too thick for this clip. The clamp is allowed to continue but is not parallel to the tabletop and is partially opened in a V-shape, meaning the clamp is pushed through the Pressure of the clamp spring slowly pulled away from the counter. I have another thinner 3/8" shelf. This thickness or less seems to be the ideal thickness for this clamp. Unfortunately, I haven't used it enough to talk about battery life. I'm a little worried about the cable because it has a branded end. I wonder what will happen if this cable snaps or gets lost. Overall not a bad light but it needs to be brighter and have a much wider clip. UPDATE: After a month of almost daily use, I can now say that the battery life is extremely short. I haven't timed it, but it's only a few to a few hours. Much less than I could have imagined. However, the battery is built into the base of the clip and is very narrow and thin, so the battery should be quite small. The good news is that this lamp works the same when connected via USB as it does when charging, so you can use it even when the battery is low.
