Review on Pyle Expo Sports Action Camera by Darius Carraway

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Incredible little camera and tuff like nails. (2nd Edition February 9, 2015)

ok ok Let's start with that, it has decent 1080p video capture but once I get 720p 60fps the video starts to look dirty like digital dirty. It takes good pictures and I actually think it might have a bad CMOS chip that takes a bad picture. The device also gets very hot when you hold it, I can hardly stand it for more than 10 minutes, it is so hot that it only runs on battery power. The battery doesn't heat up at all, that's the side where the USB storage/charge port and HDMI are. I may have a broken one, I don't know, the temperature may be normal, I have never had a mini action camera. I figured for a $150 Dolor camera it should probably shoot better than this one because that's all. and for comparison, my old brother Samsung Galaxy Note 2 records about 2 times clearer video, does not suppress desire, sharper and clearer picture. I know this isn't a $400 phone, I get that. Ok enough raving, the case is very good, the tuff case is waterproof, I use it on my quadrocopter and I was only able to use 2 mounts because I didn't have part #3 in the box, it was missing. . I like the camera, it's very light and the interface is very easy to navigate and understand. The viewfinder is very accurate and makes working with it easy. If Pyle contacts me and I don't know swap out the camera for another one that records better I will update this review to 5 stars and re-rate this camera. It's ok, and that's because it might be buggy, I'm not sure. But what I do know is that if yours captures a nice video, it's worth it. Nice feeling, not a cheap feeling. (revised December 31, 2014) After contacting Pile, they asked for a copy of my receipt, which I gave them. They immediately sent me a new battery as the camera was getting very hot, the battery was causing the camera to not work properly and they took care of it. I'm very fast, all the problems she had before are gone now and the Camera works great. I give them props. Your customer service is very good. Other reviews say their customer service was not good. Something was wrong as they were very polite and took care of my problem straight away. Now I highly recommend this camera because if you get bad ones they will take care of it very quickly, just keep the receipt. (2nd version from 02/09/2015) Operator Tuff, I still have to get myself a water box because mine broke one of the tabs that he screwed to the 2 mounting tabs. I had this on my quad and it was very high and I got a cough in 25 mph winds about 250 feet in the sky. I almost lost it, got it back and cut the power. The quadcopter fell about 50 to 60 feet and crashed into the ground on top of the camera landed and in prose only one of the two loops that attach it to the base broke which I have since super glued on but now it isn't so strong i have to buy myself a new bag from them as this is obviously my fault for laughing. The Pyle PSCHD90SL came out unscathed, with a hard case that fully protected it. Great props for your Pyle engineering team. I contacted them regarding this and they communicated with me quickly and were very attentive to my needs. Here is the link of my crash and the camera was still running: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYyGY3LY5Q4 I will post more updates as I use them more often.
