This adapter didn't work at all in my Nikon D7000. Checking with a voltmeter showed that the power cord has no output power. When I replaced the cable from another electronic instrument it seemed to work fine in the camera. It's hard to imagine how manufacturing and quality control could result in a power plug not working. When I contacted the seller, he quickly sent me a working power cord. Since then I have used the live view photomicroscopy adapter many times. In use, this is indistinguishable from a battery in the camera.
