Too small and missing lines.

If it was just an inch taller and wider it could be used for dyeing just because it's USA. Only 3 inches tall just leaves everything too small. It also has Washington and Idaho as a single state, while completely missing Michigan's Upper Peninsula. In the smaller states on the east coast, a drop of t-shirt paint can paint two states instead of the one you want.
