I still can't believe I spent so much money on a duvet cover, it was more than a new duvet we bought too! But I have to say, after laying around in the (very elegant) packaging for about a week and convincing myself it was worth it, I just couldn't bring myself to return it. So I finally unrolled it and laid it on the bed. It's so beautiful. The fabric is of very good quality and the print is clear, deep and much more intricate than the picture shows. The one we chose is in bold shades of blue on a white background. Our bedroom is pale yellow and I wasn't sure I needed a shade as bold and solid as the blue in the yellow room, but I love it. I've experimented with a few bedding sets in different colors and really liked them all, especially the light yellow set and the light white set with silver gray accents. All the stitching is very well done and I didn't find a single spot that needed attention. . Each inner corner has ties to be used on a duvet with matching pull tabs and the ties are the right length for easy and effortless fastening. It has a concealed button closure right at the hem, allowing both sides to be unzipped face up. No foreign odors occurred when removed from the packaging. I assembled it right out of the box, just wanted to lay it down to see and then wash it, but I was too lazy and just left it. The fabric is quite stiff with any product the manufacturer uses. While this means the cover is almost perfect straight out of the box, I don't like the harshness and it rustles like waxed tissue paper when statements are moved around at night. I plan to gently wash it soon and don't expect any problems from it. We ordered king size and got king size pillowcases which I wasn't expecting. It's ok but we don't have pillows that size and to be honest I don't plan on using them to sleep anyway. I like the finishing details on the shams. To use them, simply insert the pillow through the hole in the center of the back. No buttons or need to fold fabric over anything. I was also planning to buy a waterproof duvet cover, mainly for the 'dust' that sometimes collects on the down and seeps through the fabric, but I don't think I'll need to attach it with that. The fabric of this case is very, very dense and thick. I can still buy it as we have kids and pets just to be on the safe side. I do not know. So yes I recommend it if you can accept the cost first. I've never heard of this brand, but I also don't buy bedding and don't bother with such things at all. It was beautifully packaged in a fancy box, wrapped in tissue paper, and folded neatly into a matching cloth pouch with handles (which I intend to reuse to hold some files at monthly meetings). I ordered some plain king size pillows so I can use the pillows. I would buy this brand again but I seriously don't see this set ever wearing out or deteriorating. Sometimes it's nice to just splurge.
