I'm a big Chromebook fan. They update themselves, now they can at least run some Google applications. They're portable, cheap enough to take with you anywhere, and fit in airplane lockers or small desks given to college students. It's good value for everyday use if you're not a heavy-duty gamer. Advantages: price. Touch screen. Good in this price range! Many ports SB-C 3.0 port, USB-A 3.0 port, full-size HDMI port and DisplayPort, full-size SD card reader, combo audio jack. There is NO 3 port Thunderbold port. The keyboard is great for its size. Nice key return. Folds up for easy video viewing. And when you fold it up, the speakers are behind the screen, giving acceptable sound for such a small device. The battery lasted 10 hours (mostly web browsing), 11 hours (mostly video playback), and 10.5 hours (combined tasks) real-time hours. three tries. It is a long time. You can live with that all day. In these tests, the screen brightness ranged from 50 to 70 percent, with higher brightness consuming the screen faster. Available Google apps launch (not all Google apps are available for Chromebooks). Plenty of storage - 64GB for a Chromebook. You can add more via the SD slot. There's Bluetooth so you can use headphones to get the best sound. Cons: The frame is too big for the size (see photo). The resolution is low - 1366x768 (140 dpi). We're all a little spoiled by phones' clarity, it's noticeably lower. It has a 60Hz refresh rate, so it's good for watching a bit of Netflix, but don't expect high quality. The keyboard has no backlight. There is no numeric keypad. Too slow for intense gaming. You won't play high demand games on this one, it falls behind. Suitable for web and word processing, games with low graphic requirements and similar tasks.
