Review on 🍰 OvenStuff 12” Cake and Pastry Carrier – Portable Cake Tray with Non-Stick Base, Locking Pink Cover and Handles – Convenient and Versatile by Susan Foley

I immediately liked the backpack when I received it a few months ago. Looks sturdy enough and fits in the fridge easier than my tall cake stand. I recently had to use it for the first time. At the end of March 2021 I baked our daughter a birthday cake and brought her home in this stretcher. It seemed great. Holds a 2-tier 9" icing cake. Unfortunately, the fourth time the lid was opened, one of the latches broke. The piece of plastic holding the latch on the lid has broken off. It was one of the little plastic levers holding the latch on the lid that snapped off immediately. It's a fairly small piece of hard plastic. There is no way at all to fix this. This frustrates me a lot and I don't think the lid will snap open tight enough to hold it by the handle. How long before another one breaks and the host becomes completely unusable? I'm also not thinking of using it to store anything in the fridge considering it will break at room temperature and would be more prone to breakage in the cold. I really liked the rest of the features of this product, so I'm quite disappointed with its lack of durability and the money spent. I bought it about 3 months ago, so of course it's too late to return it.
