This looks great with my peasant tops that I bought especially for this belt. It's not too tight when it's on, just be careful. Buttons don't like to fasten unless you're a bit bigger than the belt itself. It's not a corset style, so if that's what you're looking for, it's not. It really helps hold the bottom of my shirts and also defines my waistline. The belt has a slight amount of stretch, but not so much that it doesn't burst if you're a bit taller. If you stretch too much, the buttons will come loose. The leather straps on the front don't like to stay tied either, but I fixed that with a bit of clear nail polish and it hasn't come loose since.
