I bought one for each of my kids who walk about a half mile to school. I worry about winter days or foggy days, but this is great for sunny days too! It is very bright and the reflection band is visible from afar. They wear it over their clothes and it is worn over a jacket or other comfortable clothing. You can see the stripe on the front and back as this is the style of the sash. It's not that embarrassing to wear for kids, so they wear it, which makes me feel so much better!
