We recently got a little kitten from a small litter and now she has so much energy that she's growing up. She began scratching at the door frames in the bedrooms and tried to climb up the sides of the windows from time to time, leaving obvious marks. I looked at many different sizes and styles of scratching posts. We don't have a huge house and didn't want the scratching post to look too big for our space. This one is just right for sitting in front of one of the windows where the cat likes to sit. It's big enough to give her something to climb and scratch. She likes the edge of the bed and the dangling ball. She doesn't seem to like the cat corner or the round step, but it doesn't really matter if she likes the other parts. My biggest complaint is that it was a bit tricky to put together, you just screw everything together, but if you don't do it in the right order you can unscrew parts to screw others on. and it doesn't seem to be as strong as I would like it to be. I've been watching him closely for the first few days to make sure the cat doesn't knock him over, but he's holding up very well.
