Review on Enhanced LEGO Classic Grey Baseplate 10701 by Dmitriy Kingsley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I used this to make a Lego portable station

Perfect size 15X15. Nothing annoys me more than tiny Lego bricks scattered in nooks and crannies around the house. So I decided to make a portable board with storage. I used rubber glue to glue the base board to the white foam board. I applied rubber glue to the entire back of the lego base plate and let it dry, then applied rubber glue to the area of the foam board where the lego plate will be placed and let dry. After both pieces were dry, I carefully aligned and sewed the sections together, then lightly pressed all the way around and voila! C'est fin! I then attached 3 plastic trays with lids using velcro to store the parts. My kids' Lego collection is very small, so this works for now. I will post a photo soon. As his collection grows, I'll grab a larger container that matches the length and width of the portable base. I may need to cut off part of the white foam board. Then stick the portable base on the lid of the container to keep it portable.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Speed of work
