My girl is a 38# mix with a 15" neck and 25" chest. Judging by the table, 3XL will be too small. Based on the chart there is an odd and large jump in size and I wasn't sure if a 4XL would fit so I went to the Questions section above and the seller said I should buy a 4XL which I did. The thing is huge and just hangs on, even when everything is tightened. What's the first problem - the bungee cord and plastic buttons keep slipping so they don't stay put. 2 buttons are in the coat, over the dog's back. When I took my coat off after 15 minutes, there were already spots where her fur was rubbing against the buttons (which don't really work). They should have been outside. The neck, under the fur, is the start of the flash. You should try to balance it in dealing with the dog and fur neck. My little girl is still holding up pretty well but it took me too long to open. Otherwise it looks like a decently tailored coat, albeit not the most comfortable for a dog - not just the poorly placed buttons mentioned above, but the buckles for releasing the harness are just below her body at the armpit and along the chest, well if they are down they have a good chance of digging into the skin and making it difficult for the dog to calm down. about the exchange for the size but the seller just told me to return it. I am not sure I will buy this brand again.
