I didn't realize how bad my laptop's power connector was until I replaced it with this new one. I am so glad that we can replace such small parts ourselves! The right to repair! The connector and battery got so hot I thought I might catch a fire. The laptop itself (Samsung) froze as the temperature rose. After I replaced this part it ran cooler because the power connection is tight. The original wasn't the easiest desoldering task as you don't want to overheat the parts around the connector. Take your time! Lots of solder wick and using solder suction really helped. When a new one was installed, there were no more problems with the heater.
