Review on Merrell Andover Peak Waterproof Hiking Boots by Napoleon Robbie

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A worthy replacement for Captiva

After six years of fall/winter/spring wear, my Captiva buckle down boots have stretched somewhat. I wish Merrell wouldn't stop making them, but that's how a shoe lives. These Andover Peaks are a worthy replacement, although I still prefer the style and the slightly narrower Captivas caviar. By the way, the color of the sand is a very pleasant medium brown. Definitely not too light as I read in a review. Merrell boots are my choice for flat, bony feet for comfort, style and durability. I especially appreciate that they accept my Vionic orthotic insoles so well. The sock is roomy but not bulky. I'm keeping them while I'm still waiting for a new pair of Captivas.
