Review on Camera Ricoh GR III, black by Agata Skibiska ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

One of the best offers, glad I bought it.

It fits perfectly in my hand, I wrap the strap around my wrist and keep it ready. Sometimes I just walk with the camera on, holding it in front of me like I'm recording a video. Nobody cares, she doesn't attract attention. There are no lenses, no super complex settings and everything that you can potentially get distracted by, there is not even a viewfinder here. The shooting style is different, but maybe this is exactly what you need.

Pros
  • The most important advantage is that the camera encourages you to shoot. Cool sharp pictures with a camera in a compact body. Doesn't attract attention, great for street photography
Cons
  • Terrible ring-overlay on the lens converter. As I understand it, due to design features, almost everyone loses it. I could not find a replacement for black, so I had to go for a bright blue, which looks less inconspicuous. Shooting in low light, but for such a compact it's still not bad. The battery drains very quickly, immediately take a second one. Charging is inconvenient, but you can get used to it. Autofocus didn’t work for me, so I use software modes with a pre-set distance.
